Hey fellas, this is something we really need to do. Took my buddy there yesterday for his birthday and it is the best track i have ever been on with some pretty sweet karts as well. This is the brand new one down by centennial airport. This track is pretty much even playing field for the different weights of drivers due to the high speed, high rpm corners that the lighter guys have to lift on. My buddy, who is like maybe 140lbs and I were running dead even passing each other numerous times. Haveing a good race which usually doesnt happen when i have 100 pounds on him.

It was 35 bucks for like 10 minutes although they were slow so i think we got some extra time. I asked the guy about group discounts and he said they really dont do much of that right now. The best he could do would be like 35 bucks plus some extra time on the track. Unless we wanted to rent the entire track for an hour with 15 karts running non stop, then its 2200 bucks

But yeah, he said they do allow up to 15 karts on the track and i think this is something we definatly need to do as we all like to race the cars.

Thats kinda what i told the guy, i dont think he caught on though, i was like ok, i know what track we are not renting.

and they can not be talked into taking your car on the go karts track, already been tried. :secret: Man would i have loved that in the goat though.

He said they usually run the full track and the direction is clockwise. And BTW, the last turn to the straight is a downhill sweeper wide open onto the straight, the guy said the karts do like 60 and i was tachin it out down the straight.

It's a ton of fun. My Subie club just went a few weekends ago.

One of the guys in my club is a great haggler, and we got $70 for two 15 minute heats. I definately could've gone for a third heat, but carts aren't like cars - it's pretty exhausting wrestling the steering wheel. My forearms and ribs hurt the next day. They aren't super-strict on the timing, either, so we probably got more than our alloted time.

The track rental fee includes helmet, coveralls, etc, but it's recommended you bring your own closed-face helmet if you got one.

If you've never driven a 'real' cart (as opposed to the wimpy ones at miniature golf places), it's a total blast. These ones get up to like 55mph, and the steering is nuts. They have amazing grip. They only have brakes on the rear axle, so every time you stab the brakes, it's like yanking the e-brake in a car.. we did a few 'doriftooo' laps

Well after sitting on my ass the last couple sundays. I am going to be swamped tomorrow, go figure. No way I would be able to get all my shit done in time if I took a break and headed down there. I may be able to swing by mikes in the afternoon if you are still working but I'm out for anything in the morning.
