Hey peoples. New to the GTO platform but have had my fair share of LS cars in my 29 years. Recently purchased a 04 t56 car with 198k. Decently clean car and I may get some shade for what I plan on doing with it. Coming from the drift community and recently sold my car I bought a car with a drive train I'm more familiar with.
Car currently has BC coilovers on it and aftermarket trail lights and exhaust. Trans has a weird grinding noise if you get on it and shift about 3k. Thinking synchros are out of it?
Other than that its a swell car and doesn't appear to have the mileage it does on it.

going to get fresh fluids for it and more than likely will have to get the trans looked at with a fresh rebuild

Thanks for the love guys and yes, a hydro "3 foot ebrake and floppy rear bumper" is on my plans
Realistically my plans are just simple stuff for now like making the trans good (possibly rebuild it) a nice bucket seat, new swap bar, LCA, tie rods and rack spacers.
Never will i ever do tilty wheels on a car. I leave that for the generation below me
also i just sold the orange car.

Nice car. I'd suggest getting some headlight polish/compound and going to town on your headlights, they are in need of it. Would be a quick nice improvement..............

Nah smurf that. Gut headlights for weight reduction and replace with steel mesh, and just have a single projector sticking out.

Because race cah.

oh for sure. going to wet sand and clear them and forget about them for in the mean time. has dark tail lights ( i believe their 05-06) style actually. was looking at the 05-06 hood but may hold off for the time being

04-05 were both red lenses. 06 had the clear lens design.

If I was looking for a new hood I'd also consider a mavman carbon fiber, maybe less than an OEM 05/06 probably.

For hoods I like in order:
1)Stock 05/06
2)Mavman carbon fiber cowl
3)Banshee

Just some options
