I know this is a little nit pickey, but whenever i shift into 6th gear my shift folds so that it rubs against itself and makes a squeaky rattling sound. I can shift the leather and fix the problem, but as soon as I go out of 6th and then back in, i need to adjust the boot again. i tried to armorall it away, but that had no effect.

anyone have any ideas how to correct this?

picking up the trim around the center console and putting it back down helps some... mine was so bad i thought it was an actual rattle.

edit: (eventually your car will start to rattle in other places and you won't hear that noise anymore...)

I get the same noise, but not necessarily in 6th. When it happens I press down lightly on the boot (then release) and it usually goes away.
