O4 A4 with cluster schizophrenia... ever hear of ODO-Pro?

The cluster on my 04 A4 with 75K is exhibiting the known issue of going from 0 to 200, gas gauge full to empty, tach going all the way up and down etc. on startup. It stops after a few minutes. This all began about 6 months ago. Wires behind glove box were checked a few years ago when I bought it and did not have any visible abrasion. I wrapped it in heavy wire loom back then and it still looks ok.
Assuming the cluster will need reprograming to get the gremlins out. I search online and found ODO Pro I sent them an inquiry and they replied as below.

Those are not all too common issues with that model of cluster. We can go through it, repair any issues and test it with this service here:
Pontiac GTO 2004-2006 Instrument Cluster Repair

If it is not repairable, we can copy the programming to a replacement cluster that either you send in or we can source for you with our cloning service here:

Anyone ever use them or know anything about them?
Anyone have any other suggestions to cure the cluster schizophrenia?

I personally wouldn’t do anything with it unless it’s consistently freaking out. I’ve owned 2 04’s which would both randomly exhibit the cluster gremlins. They were very few and far between and eventually both stopped having the issue.

You can also make it stop by turning the car off, then back on again (assuming you aren’t moving).

It's encouraging to hear it didnt get worse on yours. I will put up with it for a while and see if it does not get worse then leave it alone. Thanks Ski!
On my 06 cluster I had a somewhat different situation where the readouts on the LCD panels were disappearing or disappearing partially. I took the cluster out and took the shell apart to inspect the circuit boards. What I found was a white crusty material that had formed on the pins of some of the LCD panels and other places on the circuit board. I took some electronics cleaner and a VERY soft brush and cleaned the white crusty stuff off and it has worked perfectly ever since. I assume the white stuff was slightly conductive and causing cross circuits and system confusion.

Anyway, something worth checking out. Also, make sure your battery is always fully charged and your grounds are all solid as the electronics in these cars are sensitive to low or fluctuating voltages.

I totally concur. As an original owner of a 2004, I had the same intermittent issues since new. Did nothing and at 108,000 haven’t seen the issue in years.
