Are you the Incredible Hulk? These transmissions are heavy as smurf. Now, the Muncie 4-speed in the Chevelle I can do, but even that pushes my limits anymore.
Huh? 4l60e is only 150 lbs.

tremec is lighter.

i have to admit, being under the car without much space to move your arms or your body, it certainly feels heavier than it is.

Isnt a big deal until your curling a magnum from a moving dolly onto the trans jack while laying on your stomach.
I don’t have a trans jack.

I have all 3 but don't wanna do it, I always make a fucking mess. If it was a carburated small block I would in a heartbeat
One more thing, after you remove the cradle put on a new high pressure line from the PS pump to the rack. Throw out that crazy OE PS line which leaves the pump and goes to the front of the pan, then around the back of the pan, then to the rack. It looks like a jaw bone of an ass. Use to fight off the Philistines. ;) Get a 30" section of PTFE line and an AN 6 splice, and splice it onto the pump. Cut the pump down line a few inches below the bend and splice it there.

Then get 12 or 16 sized screw in male flange fitting and screw it into the the rack inlet. Then attach the female end of the sliced AN line to the fitting and let it hang. Later when you install the cradle you will be glad you did it, because you won't have to get in an almost impossible position ina tight space to reconnect the high pressure OE line to the rack.

You want to reuse the OE front of pan line bracket. The bracket holds the wire loom too. I removed the PS line from the bracket and now use it as a loom bracket only. Good luck.

Pulling it would help doing the lines. And can do all sorts of stuff if you have more room. Drill and tap the block/pan for that last hole in the gasket. If you decide to swap it given its riveted. Can do an oil pump since that fancy baffle will help it perform. What windage tray are you doing, or swapping to a crank scrapper?
