Hopefully it's because they are updating everyone with real data now that the cars hit the shore in a couple of weeks. Keep up the good work!!!

Devil Yellow,
I am just glad that you are able do bring any information at all-keep it up!
Devil Yellow,

We really appreciate your efforts to maintain the order tracker.
However, does anybody have an explanation of why none of our orders has progressed past the 3300 status? Either nobody on this board has a GTO built yet or GM/Holden isn't updating the status codes for the built vehicles. This is all very confusing. Kind of goes hand-in-hand with the MSRP being a big secret. I'm beginning to lose patience with GM.
The only thing I can say is to wait for the ship to hit our shore and hopfully they will change.
thats F'ing g4y. this is B.S. why the hell dont they update the status of these cars. we are nice enough to put down $500 OR MORE just to hold one of these cars and they are 2 weeks away and GM cant tell us ANYTHING???? F this sh1t. what the hell. give me some F'ing info godamnit GM. wtf are YOU DOING????

Feel Better now?? :D
damn i thought i was getting upset// like i said before i smell a big RAT... why hasnt any # changed two reasons GM is holding all info or there are a bunch of folks ahead of those on the tracking page?? also i think the first ship gtos will be for PR work for pontiac i saw somewhere that a dealer called someone and said the car was going to be 35,500 thats getting close to a used zo6 maybe to much for me?? ps great job devil yellow..
I think some of us are speculating a bit much (which is cool, that's what this is for). GM may just be using the old adage "Don't let your mouth write any checks your a## can't cash". If they made all these promises and didn't deliver we would all be going ballistic (errrrr....even more ballistic that is). It's just smart business. It's still early, the corporate wheels churn slowly. If we're all still sitting on a 3000 status or whatever in a month then hit the panic button. That's not to say I'm not foaming at the mouth to get my awesome new Phantom Black goat!! I would love to road trip before our first blizzard hits, but I'm not surprised. For now I'll have to be content with the fact they're building it in the first place. Remember this was the same company that was building the 6000 STE not that long ago!! Thank God they woke up. There I feel better too now.

ya, just a little. i want my GTO!!! damn, this waiting is driving me insane. now hearing $35,500 for it? hmmmm... i dunno, thats like 2.5k outta my league. unless i can sell my bodily fluids for the next month while it gets here.
Davbo,

You beat me to it. No prob' though because it's you.

Hey, I've had several 6000's including an STE. However it was not the AWD version. It was a damn good car to me and had all these cool gizmo's and gadgets, a cool dash, and typical Pontiac fare for the late 80's. Compared to what else was out then, it, the Trans Am, the Bonneville and Grand Prix (of which I also had an 89) were the shiznit.

Even now, I keep my eyes out for an STE AWD version just to have as a beater.

This information really isn't for public knowledge but there isn't any rules against giving it out. We are just lucky enough to have a couple of guys take time of their day to look it up once a week. Secondly GM hasn't received a dime for these cars yet. The money that you put down is being held by the dealer, GM wont see any money for these cars until they are invoiced and billed to the dealer.

Some people have no clue about the auto business.
FYI..the 6000 STE has been out of production for almost 17 model years. My mom had a '85 and a '86 back in the day they both were nice cars.
Isn't it amazing it's been that long Chotton. I remember wanting one when it was new back in the day. We had an 84 LE, 86 SE, and I believe it was an 88 STE. 89 was when they added the AWD and the bigger 3.1L V6 made it's debut to power that additional running gear. I also had an 86 Century later on. That Century even with it's old Iron Duke Tech IV was the most reliable car I've ever owned. :)

Man, I feel old! :D

Now that's a phrase I haven't heard in quite a while!:D
Ok did some research....The "STE" went to the Grand Prix in 90 and the 6000 STE became the SE. 15 model years ago.
