Any idea if this will work? I'd like to base coat them with heat resistant brake caliper paint. Follow this with a coat of color matched paint from paintscratch.com, apply the GTO logo from signsbydrex.com, then apply a clearcoat. Do you think I'll have issues with the non-heat resistant paint and clearcoat? While I'm at it, I'm going to do the hubs in heat resistant black.
Living here in Florida, I've got rust running thru getting on my new wheels.
Pain in the butt! This will end that problem too.

Florit,
Thanks. I read that one before. It's just impossible to find cosmos purple
in a ready to go brake caliper painting kit. Any ideas on my above thoughts?

Well, I am no expert for sure, so I can only offer an UNEDUCATED guess. My gut feeling, though, tells me that with the base coat of high heat paint you should be OK. The brake calipers don't get THAT hot unless you're road racing or something. The color on mine has not changed a bit and I've put about 800 miles on them since they were painted. Again, I'm not a mechanic or a paint specialist. Good luck!
