I bought touch up paint and use one of three methods.

1) for small pin holes, I use the smallest artist brush I could find and then cut 1/2 the bristles. This allows you to dab the paint clean in the hole.

2) for 1/8 to about 1/4, I use a toothpick and drop the paint in the hole, smooth with brush. I also tape off the surrounding area.

3) for 1/4 -1/2 inch, use a medium artist brush, with wet sand the edges smooth, and buff.

I'm sure I do some of the above wrong. There are some people on the forum in the autobody business that could give better pointers. hopefully they will chime in.

As above, thats what i've read, i've never done anything bigger than about 1/8 of an inch. I do it on a cosmos purple, which is a pretty deep color. Might be harder on something like red or yellow.
