Does anyone have the part number for a replacement K&N?

You'll have to have Danny760 or Maghut get the AC replacement number and then do a cross reference. Otherwise none of us an tell you as we don't have our cars.
Could be a completely new part number, might be a current filter. I would not be surprised either way. I am also interested to see if the car has a cabin air filter and where it is located, because it will need changing often if current models are any indication. They are minor but can affect how quickly the interior heats up among other things.
OK did some looking up to the one that does Holden here and the filter box is the same on your, KN33-2116
K&N Filter

The K&N factory replacement air filter for both 2004 and 2005 GTO's is #33-2289
Yep, the K&N PN is 33-2289.
Size mismatch

Box might be the same but not exact measurements within?? K & N website lists PN 33-2116 (1 x 11.375 x 9 in) for Holden, however, the US GTO PN 33-2289 (1.063 x 11.25 x 9 in.) is slightly different in size.
We normally keep this filter in stock, but you won't see a performance gain by using it. Install the whole K&N FIPK cold air kit, and you will feel a difference in power, as the stock airbox is too restrictive. Bob
The PN for a 2005 filter replacement is 33-2314 - according to K & N's website.

33-2314 Product Specifications
Product Style: Panel Air Filter
Height: 1.125 in (29 mm)
Outside Length: 11.438 in (291 mm)
Outside Width: 9.063 in (230 mm)
It's KNN-33-2289 from Summit (just checked my order history). I know this is the one since I just dropped it in last weekend.

You have an '05 and ordered the '04 filter. The '04 filter will work but doesn't fit entirely correctly like the proper '05 version does.

Thony216 posted the correct part no. and info for the '05 version.

Add a 2nd hole in the box - like the Aussies do. Then pick up a HSV intake tube from JHP. Pleanty of power & no hot air issues.

I stand corrected... thanks for the clarification. I thought I read somewhere that the 04s and 05s took the exact same filter.

Oh well, another excuse to fiddle around under the hood! :)
FWIW K&N Oil filters are HP-1007 (standard) or HP-2006 (long/truck).
sorry to bring this thread up again - anyhow - k&n filter is part # 33-2314. got one today and installed it - perfect fit!!
