i dunno about comparing the two, but it seems a lot of people with cam are using the prc's, that has to be for a reason, i use the dual golds and they seem to work great :)

Any thoughts on these vs the Comp 921's?

better, worse, the same?
Comp 921s are the ONLY spring we will use :) Id get into why, but I dont want this turning into a bashing thread. Youre welcome to PM me for any questions as well as comparisons we have done.

What lift are you dealing with for the spring choice? If you are .600 or less then you could go with 918s which are a great spring.

I've gone through Ferrara Springs, TSP Golds, and now have the Patriot Golds. I personally believe that you can break one as easy as the other. But am happy with the Patriot Golds thus far.

I also have the patriot golds. Got them for $200 and they are still going good after 25,000 miles and 7000 rpms.

Lots of people like the Patriot Golds. I can't speak from experience though.

First...

There is a major difference between the Comp 921 and the golds. Rates and wire sizes as well as the capability. It's not just a price difference.

Second...

We currently have a spring package that fits between the gold dual spring and the 921 Comps, both in performance and price. These will be a direct drop-in for those running the PP or similar 1.290 dual spring. We've been tested them in quite a few LSX and Ford engines and we have had no failures at all. Pricing and availability by the end of the week...

According to the specs of each, they are about the same. I have the Golds and they are great.

4. Comp 921’s: Also a dual spring like the Cranes above and come as a kit with everything you need for installation, rated for up to .650 lift

O.D: 1.300
I.D: .870 (outer spring)
I.D: .655 (inner spring)
135 LBS @ 1.770
400 LBS @ 1.220
COIL BIND @ 1.040
MAX LIFT .650

5. Patriot Gold Duals: See Crane and 921’s. The PP Golds come on all PP heads. PP are the only genIII spring setup to use the super 7 10* locks.

O.D 1.29
135lbs @ 1.800
385lbs open
coil bind @ 1.08
