Pedders Strip II

My short question is: Who has this and how do you like it?

My longer question is: I don't like rolling fenders and dragbags as cheap solutions to worrying about larger DRs rubbing and wheel hop. I'm going to consider The Pedders Strip II because it seems to address these issues, however, I've searched here and can't find any threads saying anyone has this setup. So my question is does it work as advertised and will it by itself help actually help my launch (improve my 60) and allow me to put wider tires on without worry of rubbing. If so how wide? The other issue is how will the Strip II be on the street? Does it handle better, equal, or less then the OEM suspension?

Pedders dealers feel free to answer especially if you have put these on members GTOs.

We have done several sets. Guys tell me they are very happy with it. the spring rates really help transfer torque. the biggest issue is the lack of rear tire for our GTO. Tire rub, as you are concerned with, is really a funcion of wheel offset, spring height, and tire size. the Pedders really helps here.

What other qustions do you ahve that might be more specific

All I have is the Pedders drag springs though I have rolled my fenders as well.
I run 275/40/17 drs with no rubbing
I get 1.6 60fts in a basically stock 04..
I like my Pedders.
;)
ive your serious about drag racing , drag bags are not a bandaide

they are a chassis tuning tool , since you can alter suspension preload

they arent as good as a true 4 link or other drag stlye suspension , but work good for dual purpose cars

I just called them a cheap solution. However, they will eventually leak and do have other problems so since you brought up the term, yep I'd call them a bandaid. Thanks, glad you could answer my Pedders questions. :)

I was planning on asking you about them when I order my replacement rotors.
...so about 100 views and no real answers here. Kind of explains why there's no information on this Pedder's setup using search. If I was to get this I guess I'd be a guinea pig here which I really don't like being in these cases. As for installation, you guy's that have other Pedders products, who used Pedders dealers and who just bought the parts and did them locally when there was no dealer close. The closest to me is Michigan or Pennsylvania, which I could do but it would have to be done the same day. What's the downside to not using a dealer besides service later on?
In addition to BMR sub-frame connectors, driveshaft and axle stubs, I'm going to get the Pedders Strip II package too. I'm going through Jamey Smith at Reeve's Pontiac, Greenwood, IN. Did you ever make a decision on your upgrading cars suspension?
He actually went a bit further and went to the Full Kit, he's updated his sig to read Pedders Justice & Strip II, I think he has a complete kit with his choice of springs, but i'm not 100% sure on that.
springs, big bores+cradle bushings and harrop cover are the ultimate setup ;)

Correct. I have 5/16 raise in the rear and the 1 inch drop in the front. I have 95% of what's in those packages and also have the Pedders bump stops and tie rod ends.

Sounds like you're hooking up really good. What tires are you now running?
