Just got back into Orange County about an hour ago. Spent the weekend at Willow Springs doing more suspension testing with Eibach. There was a huge NASA event both days. What a blast. I'll update this thread with more detail when I get home Tuesday but here are a couple of pics from earlier today.

A BIG thanks to Toyo for the RA-1 tires. What a huge difference vs the KDW's.

Also a big congratulations to Dave Royce, Eibach R&D Manager who also happened to be taking a seat in the 3 hour Enduro Saturday night. He drove the night shift in the #63 Porche GT3 cup car to a 1st place finish overall.

The RA-1 tires are the same ones they run in the SPEED world challenge GT.
they are really good tires, they hold the road nicely. I am running the Proxy 4's they handle alot better then the KDWS that came stock on the car, alot better launches and cornering.

Thanks for the comments.

I can't say enough about the Toyo RA-1 tires. It's amazing how hard you can keep pushing them and they just keep sticking. No wonder they are the favorite among track enthusiasts.

I’ve gone through two sets of Toyo Proxes T1-S on my 99 GTP and really like them but when Toyo gave us the new Proxes 4 for our 2004 Grand Prix GTP, I really took a liking to them even better. Anyone looking to replace their KDWS with an excellent tire for the street should follow the lead of Rockos GTO and put a set of Proxes 4 under your GTO. You’ll be glad you did.

Currently the suspension has the prototype Eibach Pro Kit Springs and prototype Eibach Sway Bars. The testing Eibach did with our car a couple of weeks ago at Buttonwillow revealed the need to go a little larger on the rear sway bar and this weekend at Willow Springs with the RA-1s further confirmed that. When they are released, the Eibach Sway Bars will be adjustable as well.

For testing purposes, we’ve kept the stock shocks and struts for now. Although the whole package works very well with the stock dampers, we’ll be replacing them with an adjustable shock and strut since we have a fondness for the track and since it’s our job to test this stuff out. All in the name of work of course-someone has to do it. :) Next up are brakes. We’ve toasted the stockers pretty well.

A while back someone asked me if the Eibach Springs eliminated the wheel hop many have experienced with the GTO. At the time, I had only driven it with the new suspension up to Buttonwillow and ran it on the track. I had not experienced wheel hop on the track. I did some practice launches this past weekend and while the springs may have helped reduce the wheel hop a little, they certainly didn’t eliminate it. We still haven’t had a problem with it on the road course though.

Here's another shot someone sent me today.

I was kind of surprised no one noticed what was missing and asked about that.

I'm always glad to hear more about how the new mods are running. I see you guys got rid of the spoiler - are you guys planning on making available suitable replacements or are you happy with the smooth look?
