Post Pics--Aftermarket 17 inch Wheels..not an 18 or 19 inch fan..anybody have some cool 17's? Beside chrome stockers?
I got these 17's from Boyd Coddington. I like the looks but went thru hell getting the correct fitment, even though they said they had the "stock" fitment. Yes, these are 17 x 8.Tiresmoker said:Post Pics--Aftermarket 17 inch Wheels..not an 18 or 19 inch fan..anybody have some cool 17's? Beside chrome stockers?

ill swap ya your 18's for my 17'sbonzelite said:nice wheels so far all. i don't like the 18"s either. many people go ga-ga over the OEM 18"s but i don't really care for them. i'm actually swapping out my 18"s for OEM 17"s. 17"s look better on the body style, IMHO. i'll keep my 18"s, though, for collector's purposes. i'm keeping my GTO for life.
cheers.
I really like those wheels. I too have been wanting a 17" wheel replacement. After seeing all of the 18" fitment issues and rubbing. Before get too deep into that topic. Do you have any fitment issues???thelatinpimp said:they are called Flik lex

they dont bent easy I had flik wheels on all my cars and never had a problem
You might just have to strike out on your own. A small percentage of owners are staying with a 17" wheel/tire combo. But, just wait a little longer. There are some people that have 17s that just haven't found this thread.HWFSTRU said:So is that it for the pics... I am looking to 17" wheels as well and was hoping for a little more from this thread...
You do know that fitment/rubbing issues have nothing to do with whether you have 17"s, 18"s, 19"s, or 20"s, right?SilverStreakGTO said:I really like those wheels. Thanks,

To go with a higher diameter tire/wheel would mean a smaller aspect ratio. Which would mean feeling every little bump and crack in the pavement. No thank you.RealDeal said:You do know that fitment/rubbing issues have nothing to do with whether you have 17"s, 18"s, 19"s, or 20"s, right?
As far as aftermarket 17"s on the GTO... why, little 8 lb 6 oz baby Jesus, why? These are large cars, and look kinda funny with tiny wheels IMO. Just my opinion, though, and if you like it, great - that's all that matters. Even my 18"s look too small on my car, so I ordered 19"s.
