Alright I know people will know that somethings in the car due to how my car runs and how loud it is, BUT my question is about painting/powdercoating the intercooler...can it be done/is it safe or what? because i dont like the way u can see the polished aluminum threw the grille...

really? powdercoating it like just the solid botom and top parts with hurt the cooling abilities?

yes. think about it. paint is not a conductive material (as far as heat transfer). aluminum is.

The 1987 Grand National Intercoolers were all painted/powder coated. You will be fine IMHO, the only reason you dont see them painted is because everyone wants to SEE that big intercooler hangin in the front. There are ALOT of painted radiators in the world....and they all work great!

great, now i have 2 oppinions...but even if the intercooler cant be can the tubing?
