Would you guy rather go with LS6 heads or Z06 heads?

It apears that if you go with the Z06 Heads you have to get the valves to go with it.

Z06 exhaust valve # 12565312

If I were to upgrade heads - I'd be looking aftermarket rather than GM. I would purchase complete - because headwork is something I've never tried on any vehicles yet - and with this one I'd be really scared of messing something up.

This has been covered numerous times. For the same price, you can get more aggressive sets of heads (and cam) from aftermarket suppliers like Patriot, GTP, AFR and a few others vs. the LS6 units. The LS6 heads (and cam) are a mid level setup vs some of these others.

And to be honest with you, these aftermarket heads are GM castings that are custom worked anyway.

The only way I'd stick with the LS6 units would be if you wanted to say you had genuine GM performance parts on your car.
