This was my experience, unfortunately it wasn't pleasant.

I thought the company was based in Delaware. So when I received an email saying, shipping is through European Union with Priority Mail and will take up to 3 weeks with no tracking number. I was a bit confused and upset.
*That's on me for not doing further research.*

Their website does not lead to a proper representation of what you are purchasing. A small color preview is provided but they aren't actual photos of the material. Having ACTUAL photos of the material for the color swatch would be preferred...

I wanted an all black leather arm rest with red stitching. Then I saw the $3.00 option for perforated leather and decided it would look nice to get the center perforated... little did I know, this is where I smurfed up. The perforated leather does not have the same feel or color as the solid black leather. The solid black feels nice and the perforated leather feels like pleather.

The seams on the perforated leather look terrible. Probably because to reduce costs they have sheets of perforated leather that they cut their shapes out of, unfortunately you end up with shitty seams when you perforate before cutting the shape.

Maybe I'm overreacting, but with all the R&D I see them doing in steering wheels, I was expecting this piece to be nicer than what I received.

Um, yeah, that looks like 2 entirely different grades of leather. I’d be upset also.

Did you contact them about that?
Their main shop is in Poland. You need to specify Napa leather if you want the good stuff. I had a steering wheel done in Napa black and Alcantara that turned out great. I also just had my HSV wheel converted to flat bottom and covered in Napa black and perforated Napa black and the feel is amazing, very high quality. I had a shift boot done in regular leather and I didn't like it at all. I didn't even install it, I ordered one in Napa leather and its absolutely night and day difference better. Just my :cents:

I did not. I was already upset that it took 3 weeks + to receive what I got. In dark lighting it looks alright, but in bright light... well see below. Not at all what I wanted, but my seats arrive this friday. I'll get to see how it all looks together, and if I can't stand it. I'm replacing it, but not with another Redlinegoods product.

Apparently you can install the hinge wrong... note the horrible gap. I'll be correcting that this Thursday.

The sad part is, I actually already expressed my issues with their website and was worried that this exact problem would happen back in Feb.

man, i was thinking of getting a shift boot from them.

:mrrg:
I believe they are capable of making good products, but don't buy directly through their website, speak to one of their reps to make sure you get what you are expecting.

I have a Napa leather shift boot with medium blue stitching on the way. Their emails says no tracking available.
You can get tracking, but you have to pay for the expedited Fed-Ex shipping.

Properly installed + dark lighting = Not too bad.

Again, compared to my damaged OEM arm rest, this is 100% better. I didn't want a two tone of black and grey.

Sorry to dig up an old thread, but I also had a bad experience with RLG recently which I thought I'd share considering they love to spam this forum.

Wasn't just the fact that the cover didn't fit, was also the horrid stitching, poorly aligned panels and thin craft style leather.

They where quick to reply to initial concerns, expressing that I must be fitting it incorrectly, but didn't have much to say after I pulled it apart and sent off pics showing how far off it actually was. I'm no rookie when it comes to trimming, I just dont have an industrial sewing machine.

I can respect that in order to correctly trim an item, a trimmer should have possession of the item-- And this is why mail order trimming doesn't work.

They did promise to have another crack at it but only when I raised a paypal dispute after 2 weeks of no comms. I'm convinced the quality and workmanship just isn't there and you'll be shopping for a replacement within a year or two

All I can say is make sure you use Paypal if you want to take the risk.
