Blocking ring Problem 1-2 Shift
I have been thinking that my clutch has a problem like some of the other guys. the problem is that the car grinds between 1-2 shift.Being it was only the one gear I thought it was strange so I let a couple of my other mechanic buddies take it for a spin.Without any input from me or each other they both said the problem is in the blocking ring.It shifts fine when you shift casually but the first time you try and shift quickly,grind away she goes.It does it at any rpm,under any type of load,but only during a quick shift. Has anyone else had or have the same problem with your gto or a previous f body? I have to see my dealer for this one(too expensive)and want to be prepared.. Thanks Anthony
