What, no mid-atlantic thread? Cheasapeake, Virginia. I know we have at least 10 registered buyers on this site within 4 hours drive. 2 in Richmond, 3 in Cheasapeake, 5 at least between N and S Carolina.

no sense having a regional thread until we get some regional GTO's. I know some are in Fairfax just waiting to get into the hands of some anxious owners

Quality costs. Ford Mustang is antiquated. The current Mustang will always be cheaper than a GTO because it has to be. Who in the hell would pay $33,000 for a Mustang GT or Mach 1. Absolutely no one. Who would pay $33K for a GTO, me and 17,999 others. 'Nuf said.

True Chris, but Ford sold a HELL of a lot more Mustangs in 2003 then 18,000......

And you're surprised? We all know what they sell for. Real world retails on Mustangs are $13,500 to $32,000. You can buy a V6, V8 or S/C'd V8. You can buy a coupe or a convertible. Now that's going to cover a lot of bases and a lot of potential customers that a GTO will NEVER reach. The GTO is a one size fits all. Color, stick or auto. That's it.

Smart for Ford to move units and make money. Smart for GM because they only have 18,000 GTO's to move. They must balance supply and demand. Sell the GTO @ $25,000 and demand will quickly outstrip supply. I think they established the proper MSRP to move 18,000 GTO's.

I'm about as SOUTHEAST as it gets... Florida don't count.

Hi Ya'll. I'm in South Georgia... 'bout 20 miles from the FL border. Got a yellowjacket 6-speed coming soon... hopefully, in the next week or so. It came off the boat last week.

First impression on GTO from NC

I'm in Concord,NC about 10 mins. from the Speedway. Both Randy Marion in Mooresville and Ben Mynatt in Concord have received thir first GTOs.Randy quoted me $31,477.00 and Mynatt $33,788.00.Because of the discussion here and elsewhere about the possibility of the LS2/6 for the upcoming year I have decided to wait and see.I did go to the dealer to check out the car in person and here are my observations, these are my opinions only. The car was a black with the six speed,I was surprised to see the fine metal flake in the paint,I liked that,I thought that the color was solid. The seats are very, very nice and comfortable, they really hug you in.Like many people has stated before, the pictures do not do justice to the car,it has a nice stance and a look that means business.I was also plesantly surprised to see that the wheel and tire combination filled the wheelwell very good, that's the one thing that didn't looked right to me in the pictures. They started the car to take it outside and I will have to say that I was expecting a little more noise that what came out of it,it has a rumble for sure, but I thought that it could be a little louder.Overall I was impressed with the car and it reinforced my decision to purchase one altough like I said before,I will wait at least a year to see if they come out with a HP version.HF

Hey hectic, are there any events coming up at the speedway where individuals could get their cars onto the track? other than the autofairs of course.
