How tight should I tighten the bolts that connect the strut to the hub

The shop manual says that the large bolts that connect the strut to the knuckle are to be tightened to 74 lb/ft and then another 90 degrees.

so after it all done and working perfectly after a few weeks of no problems at all, now when i turn all the way right and then start to steer left there is a loud ping sound like a binding coil makes, is this the spring settleing or did i do something wrong??
Did you ever figure this out because I currently am having the same issue lol

Dan hasn't been on here for over four years so I don't know if he'll be responding. But from what you describe, it sounds like the strut mount bearings aren't doing their job. Lift the front of the car off the ground, unlock the steering column and move the wheels through their steering arc by hand and see what you can feel and hear close up. Of course with the weight of the car off the bearings it may act differently.

dont forget to loosen the nuts on top of the strut mounts before jacking up the car
and tighten them completely after lowering the car
