I know its a longshot since its been 6 years. My gto is doing same thing security light flashing, trunk and door remote not working. Were you able to work this out?

Wow, has it been that long?! So no, I'm still driving it "as is". Actually, I don't even drive it that much anymore (less than 100 miles on it last year). Am pondering selling it, but then I start it/drive it... and keep falling in love with it again. It's like that girlfriend you know you should break up with... but every time....

Yea i just got it and have been working out some stuff with the car. Are you pulling the mechanical cable for the trunk everytime? Im thinking about just installing an aftermarket alarm system with remote start.

I'm hardly ever in the trunk, but yes. My buddy used hptuners and just turned all the security off. It's garage kept,so no big deal for me. Is this your first one?

Yea it’s been a learning curve. I might just wire a push button to the trunk actuator. It’s the only thing that bothers me. I have all security functions turned off also
