How expensive are these things. Just the carrier. No gears, housing, install kit.

...and HOW!

Funny I saw this thread as I was getting ready to start one...was driving to work today and it was so good having the Kaaz. Cool, about 65F....hammered it from a dead stop from a traffic light with the t/c and BAM! - I get a bit of wheelspin the BFG hooks hard as nails between the 1-2 shift and goes absolutely bee-line straight. Does the same in 2-3 and 3-4...not that I can confirm or deny this happening on public thoroughfares...:secret:

Coming home, was having some fun downhill into a tight right hand turn with a nice bowl in the bottom, again with the t/c off. This time WHOOSH! and the tail steps out just a bit but well under control with the pedal mashed to the floor in second...whee!

Yes, the Kaaz is an expensive bit of hardware but man does it make a difference in how the car drives!:turbonaug

I had a Kaaz in my street/strip Honda (11 second daily driven car) that held dozens of 9k clutch drops on slicks. The car was pushing somewhere over 450whp/300tq into the trans when it was fully finshed. Best $900 I spent on the car probably.

One thing to note, be aware of and prepaired for the break in process. Find a big empty lot you can do a massive figure 8 in for an hour or so without getting arrested before you do the install. Also buy extra fluids, you will want to flush and refill the diff after the break in process. I dont believe they suggest using a friction modifier for the break in but I did use one after the fact to quiet down the chatter and smooth it out. (It was very "clunky" at first.)

I have orderd mine through MidwestPd's website since Aug 16th and my order is still pending :(
You are not the only one, we all have had to wait on Kaaz Japan to get the new run out, we are at their mercy but the good news is that they are sitting in customs now and should go out next week.

Thanks for your continued patience.
