Ok devilyellow if you can send this to hopson.

I am EXTREMELY upset !!!! My TPW was 9/26 (still is) it has been 3 months and no update to my status. I called Pontiac here are are responses from 3 different calls. Also 1 call from my dealer.

Extra - Call from dealer to GM
Q: Where is my customer's GTO
A: It is in the U.S, currently in transit

Call 1
Q: Where is my GTO
A: Your GTO was built in mid-september and it is currently in cross-country transit. Should be to your dealer soon.

Call 2
Q: Where is my GTO and what is it's vin
A: Your car is in transit not sure whether it is on the boat or in the U.S. But we can't give you the vin because it is currently in transit.

Call 3
Q: Where is my GTO
A: Your GTO is currently in production and we won't have any more info until it has been built and shipped.

What the hell is going on? I don't mind if my car hasn't been built yet, won't be built till june, whatever. Stop screwing with me. I just ignored people previously stating they were going to forget about the GTO, but now I am seriously considering the same thing. How dare pontiac for standing us customers & dealers like this. This is the MOST unprofessional service I have ever received, and I am planning on writing a lettwer to the better business bureau.

I think that we as customers and dealers should all get together as a group to let Pontiac/GM know our dissatisfaction with their service.

JUST LET US KNOW WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON!!!!!

Well right now there is no info being hidden from you. You are on the east coast. As the cars move along the country we are seeing new status codes. I'm sure yours will update after the christmas break. I still think the wait is expected for a new car...but then again I planned on having my car in March.

We are on the East Coast not the West Coast!
I've been at work for almost 12 hours by now .... I meant east coast.
We feel your pain.
confused

I'm with you webpeznet,

When I saw the updates today I was super depressed, seeing all the GTO's being built, and that our numbers should fall within those, I think we're getting jerked around somehow, and Pontiac should have to explain themselves. I have now idea how Mr. Lutz could be contacted, but I would sure like to see him on the carpet explaining how this can be!
Frustrated!

Don't feel to bad. Some of us ordered in August and don't even HAVE a TPW - still at an 1100 production status which means absolutely nothing.

If another cool car comes along before my GTO gets here, I'll most likely get that instead. I realistically don't plan on seeing my GTO until June or July and waiting almost a year for this car isn't necessarily worth it IMO. There a lot of good cars out there and I've passed many up to wait this long.
I went through the same crap with Dodge in 1994 when I ordered a new Ram in August and did not take delivery until March... swore I would never do that again. Here I am ten years later just as dumb, just as pissed. On the upside that truck depreciated about $3000. over the next 2 years. E-bay has some hot deals on 03 cobras, maybe one is in my future......
so nothing is being hidden from us????????????? i am wondering how many ships have unloaded /how many cars/gtos so far/ so when you call the dealer or pontiac they cant tell you any info /sounds like to me someone is holding some info? or is it just me ? i wonder if gm or pontiac could tell us how many cars have been delivered and to who so far

Well, progress here! :D I finally got a TPW. Should be another 6 months before it really gets built though so I should see it by X-mas next year!

Really, like the others, had I known I would not see the car for nearly a year from the time I ordered, I would've spent the cash elsewhere!
A local dealer is advertising 11k off stickers on new vettes. Im sure its a lowball but if you could drive off the lot in a new vette for less than 41k (figuring with taxes a GTO runs 35k) Im beginning to have second thoughts on my order. Ive been promised a TPW but nothing yet. May go vette shopping before they change em, could probably make a good deal. Not 100% sure though, Id rather have the goat but Im not/not going to wait til next summer....
no thanks, they are nice but the last ford I owned was 30 years ago. I might consider a crown vic/grand marq/maurader though. just came back from the chevy dealer, Im too tall for a vette (my eyes were level with the top of the windshield almost). Lets see if my TPW arrives before the end of the year..... Id still prefer the goat.
