Thinking about having a shift kit installed.

The reason I'm thinking about doing this is...ever since installing my Predator tune I hear a squeak or slip coming from the tranny when it shifts from 1 to 2nd (Under hard acceleration).....discussed in another thread.

I'm not a tranny expert but my understanding is a shift kit will increase line pressure to the clutches, which will make them engage harder/quicker, which could resolve the problem.

Good Idea or not? Will the shifts be too firm even at low speeds making it too rough for a daily driver? Do you think it will help?

If the Predator firms up shifts then a shift kit you can't do. It's one or the other.

You can choose what firmness to set a TransGo shift kit i believe. Its up to you what you can deal with. If you want to bark every gear with a A4 you can do that. Probably just a little firmer than stock is all you need. Its the PCM that is killing A4 performance, once that is defeated you are in the clear.
