I still marvel that no one has ever built of offered a really high quality slave for these cars. I mean, the market is fairly large with all the LS motors out there, but I suppose manuals are still in the minority.
A little late to this party but I just installed Mitchell's old ported MP112 on my stock internal 04. I already had a DW65 fuel pump, no Magnavolt and 60# Deka's. I haven't gotten it on the dyno to finish the tune yet but have plenty of fuel so far on a base tune.
Also as far as the coolant hose with a 90 I didn't like the way it looked and bought one of those springs that go over the hose that keeps it from kinking and felt better about it that way.
I also contemplated many of the same things as you and ultimately kept the stock heat exchanger and stock airbox. Partly because I like the look and because this isn't a racecar for me either.
Waiting for an open slot to be able to take the car to CSP for a full tune, but in the meantime did some logs today to begin dialing in the MAF a bit as it was running incredibly lean. Running much better during part throttle.
Came back and put the banner up that I had Magnuson throw in with the deal:
Anyone here know a rough target commanded AFR to start with for a boosted LS1? 12.7 is what I’m commanding now, but that’s leftover from when I was NA. Believe I need to pull it into the high 11’s while in PE.
Hello all – First real post here on this site. I purchased my 05 MBM M6 in 2016 and finally getting to making some changes. I am in process of installing a TVS 2300 on my stock LS2 with Kooks long tubes, flex fuel kit and a variety of other parts. This is my daily driver in the summer.
Aight fellas. Pulled the car in my shop this weekend and got started last night. Little backstory. I live in a neighborhood that doesn’t allow large builds on our lots. Well they didn’t when I bought my building. I bought the biggest one they would allow but it’s off the ground and I’ve always...
I have an opportunity to buy a 35k mile old factory original LSA supercharger with a solid isolator and a griptech pulleyl for 900 bucks.
No lid and no fuel rails.
I don't care about the lid as I would run a ZL1 lid anyways but a little bummed it's not coming with fuel rails.
I am currently running a forged ls2 motor that I was planning to boost. I got busy with priorities and put everything on hold, so its been sitting for about 3 years. It's an LS2 with forged pistons, stock rods, arp head studs, arp rod bolts, and cnc'd 317 heads. I believe the cam spec'd out was...
Alright. All of the pictures are probably taking a while to load so ill give a quick explanation. I bought this car for 2 reasons. To
A) have a fast car
B) have something that you dont see every day
When I bought the car I had a lot of ideas for what I wanted to do in the future (procharger...
