Banks has been around for years. They specialize in diesel stuff and work wonders with them.

And wasn't one of their GMC Sonoma's a Bonneville Salf Flats record holder?
Banks did plenty of turbo's on SBC's during the mid 80's. They got out of it and chased the money with motorhomes etc. They build high quality bulletproof (sp) kits. Glad to see they are coming back to automobiles.

Yes, went 213.5mph in 2002. In a pickemup truck. With a diesel.
Ok, so how much does the 800hp kit set you back? Wish they had like 500-600hp range. 800 is too much for a daily driver...

Check this guy out. His basic twin-turbo kit is AU$16,000, producing 450rwhp (+13% for Dynojet dynos so I'm told) @ 6 psi and AU$20000 for a 10psi kit making over 600rwhp, all on an otherwise stock LS1. As you can see, the install is very well hidden and passed inspection by our local constabulary on several occasions.

There is also a lot of PD and centrafugal supercharger development going on down here with a number of cars making well over 550 rwhp.

I like turbos since you have less stress on the crank like with most typical blower setups
But you have to run hot exhaust back into the engine compartment to spin the turbo, then there is turbo lag, and of course the nightmare tuning issue.

Each setup has it's plusses and minusses.

It would get me to work faster or more important it would get me back home faster when work was over.......
