STi got the launch on me (obviously) as I was running street tires. I caught him by second when my turbo fully spooled.

You're not hearing the rotary, you're hearing the wastegate opening and the Apexi exhaust. Which, BTW, the Apexi exhaust is probably one of the most least desriable sounding exhausts on an FD

that may be part truth, I've heard rotories in real life as well, and they all souond like chainsaws when they got exhausts, they sound cool from inside the car though.

if i wasnt raised better i would claim the GTO stolen, get a new one then put the old engine in my rx7

and AMRAAM4 - thats on pump gas.
