I’d like to find a stock throttle body. I’m tired of how touchy my 92mm is. Like a dummy I gave mine away. I’ve had two people give me one but not quite what I want. I just want a stock, unported throttle body. The free one I got, one ended up being posted and they ground through it and jb welded it. Probably hold, but it’s still ported. Then the other was for a truck. Just looking for an ls1 throttle body. Thanks

Have you looked at the Professional Products 96mm TB? They are on a firesale now for like $50 and are supposed to work just like a stock throttlebody where a gap will occur at the bottom of the housing before the top when the blade opens.
I have one. Stock from my 04 Goat. Unmolested. < 19,000 miles. Clean. Dm if needed.

I have a 92mm right now, I want a stock one. If you arent familiar, theres a bump in the throttle body at the bottom of the blade. People remove this bump because it gives the illusion of better throttle response and power. Well my 92mm does not have this bump AND the surface area that opens up when you crack the throttle is far greater on the 92mm, it makes my throttle more "touchy" than I like. Now granted, the car drives just fine, its me just being picky. We all want what we want and i want a little less response. If I take away throttle follower air or timing, it makes the idle dip in some situations and it'll almost die. Yea I can fix that too by idling it up higher, but I like it to idle as low as it will.

I had a nick williams. Mine was a piece of garbage. You probably read my story but the short of it is the shaft where it goes in the TPS was machined too small...had slack. Imagine the tps position being erratic, it was hell trying to tune it until i figured out what was going on. I send it back to nick williams after going round and round with them and the vender i bought it from. Instead of puting a new correctly machined shaft, those mfers wrapped electrical tape around the shaft. After that ordeal, you couldn't give me one of those shits.
I have a china one. But its a nicer china one. I ported the IAC passage for better response and no whistle noise, I also moved the return spring to lessen force needed at the gas pedal so it feels like a stock one. It was very stiff when i got it.

I have a 92mm NW TB on the 04 and it makes a seriously loud whistle sucking sound on a cold start. I attributed it to the X-Air not really acting as any kind of air intake resonator since it is pretty much a straight shot to the TB. The sound goes away once the car settles into a warm idle. But if I could lessen or eliminate the sucking sound at a cold start by porting the IAC I'd be all for it. Can you tell me how and where to do the porting? Would porting require any adjustment to the tune? The IAC port is pretty large, I can't imagine smoothing out the passage would have much effect on tuning but I'm hardly a tuning expert.

Look in the front of the TB with the intake off (not the engine side intake manifold). See the hole towards the top? See how sharp it is? (the edges). Try rounding that first or kinda tapering it. The hole in mine was smallish so i enlarged it and rounded the edges. If you enlarge it, I'm pretty sure youll have to retune it as itll be getting more air. If you just taper and round the edges it shouldn't affect the tune.
