Does anyone know why when i start my car after it sitting over night it spit a whole bunch of water out of the exhaust pipes?

Mine doesn't spit, it... errr... ummm...

Condensation. Especially bad on the edge of the 'Glades in August, I'd imagine. (I grew up in Miami and have a brother who lived in N. Ft. Meyers for a number of years, BTW.)

The only time you need to worry is if it's coming out in white smoke format. :D

Otherwise, it's simple condensation as a byproduct of combustion.

Blow into your hand, notice how they get moist and perhaps clammy with your hot breath. Same thing happens in the engine, only difference is, it's caused by the combustion of air and fuel.
