Just swapped my KDWS for a set of Falken Azenis... excellent change regards to handling, no more squeal around easy corners.

While they were apart, I weighed the rim at 26.0 #s. The stock rim and tire weighed 53.4 #s, compared to the stock rim and Azenis at 55.0 #s.

All weights taken on a mailing scale, which is certified accurate to .1 # per the documentation we have on it. I have 900 miles on the car, so minimal wear on the stock tires.

So the stock rims are indeed pretty heavy.

I'd say, 26lbs per wheel isnt light by any means for a 17x8 wheel.

Compared to most stock wheels, that's pretty light. My GTP chromies were almost 32lbs each, and my stock CTS 17"s were pushing 30lbs.

My new 17x8 rims: 18lbs. With Nittos on the rears, 42lbs (!). With stock tires on the front, 44lbs.

Can't wait to hit the track.

Pics later tonight.

Nice and light! Believe it or not, I used to run a set of Weld drag only wheels with M&H slicks on my Honda that only weighted 16lbs per wheel & tire combine! They weighed 1lb less than a factory 15" wheel did without a tire.
