How bad had she messed it up in the year and half she had it?Bought mine used 12/14/2006 from Vestal Pontiac in Kernersville NC with 14,359 miles on it. Original owner was a sales manager there. I owned it until Dec 2017 when I sold it to a lady in Charlotte. Talked her into selling it back to me in May of 2019. I wont sell it again.
Not a bit. She lived and worked in Downtown Charlotte so she walked to work and dinner a lot. A few months before I bought it back from her she moved and started driving it to town for work. She only put about 3500 miles on it in 18 months. Plus new tires. How bad had she messed it up in the year and half she had it?![]()
Nope… I was gonna keep it stock, but since I plan on keeping it forever, God willing, I’m gonna do what I want to it. I feel like I have kept everything tasteful, kinda like a “what if GM did it this way” approach. The CTSv brakes and the split exhaust 04 bumper are my favorite modifications by far.Hopefully those with super low miles are keeping them stock or near stock.
Guess I can't argue with you there. If you're going to keep it then go for it. Part of me wished I would have kept mine stockish, but like you, a few years ago, I decided I'm never parting with it. So I figured what the heck, and so what if I lose any resale value!Nope… I was gonna keep it stock, but since I plan on keeping it forever, God willing, I’m gonna do what I want to it. The more I think about it, the more I figure before too long, electric vehicles will be all the rage, and probably all that is available to buy. If that is the case, then I think any internal combustion engine vehicle is probably gonna be worth more money down the road. Condition is going to be the key. I also look at it this way… if somebody wants to buy my GTO bad enough, then they will offer me enough money to make me consider it. No matter what, it will only be worth what someone is willing to pay. I don’t have a problem giving my car to my daughter either if it comes down to it.Guess I can't argue with you there. i must say, your photo reminded me that chromed 17's certainly look allllll-right.I've got 78k on my 06 spice red manual. Pretty much stock besides exhaust (stock tips) and pedders suspension. My 17's were chromed from the dealer it seems. I have lots of parts to put on like an X-Air and MGW-P but just haven't got around to it. The past year or two I only really drive it to pick up my toddler from a small daycare. All the other toddlers are jealous as my son is picked up in a loud "race car" (their words). Funny thing is those toddlers parents are picking them up in high end vehicles like Tesla's and Beemers. You can't see it but there is a toddler car seat buckled in the back. My boy loves it and the other parents are perplexed.
I plan on doing a few things over the summer such as sound deadening and few other small items. Seems I keep stalling because I'm looking at Scat Pack Chargers. I was sad when I sold my last GTO (see avatar). I wonder where that car is now.
