My wife and daughter were at Moe's up the block. I met the fellow selling the 944 Turbo at Moe's.

Took it for a two minute drive knowing i was buying it before I met him since I saw the car over the last three years.

Im going to miss my gray 944S2 while my brother owns it. something tells me I will be buying it back from him in a few years.

The turbo has about 20k of work done over the last few years. New clutch, konis, control arms (over 500 each and you cant run rebuilt ball joints on the track), same roll bar as in my car, new water pump ($500) belts, synchros, bigger sways, rebuilt turbo, speed force racing exhaust, hi flow cat and bypass pipe, blah blah.

cant wait to get it to pocono next month.

That would be me. I was intimidated by the roll bar in the Porsche. lol :drink: It was pretty much dead there tonight so I took a ride to put some miles on the new car. You missed the cops messing with the ricers though. It was quite entertaining.

the car is set up for the track. it cost me less than half the 20k he put into the car to get all the stuff he put into the car, and the car was thrown in for free.

i spent six months looking for my gray S2, almost went to Mansfield Ohio for one and Detroit for another. Then I found my car in Maplewood NJ. Two guys came with me to check it out. Both said if I didnt buy it on the spot they would. It was/is that clean. I dont want to sell it, but I dont need two porsches, a GTO and a Miata.

For the 2-3k miles a year I drive the Porsche to the track, on the track and home this one should be more enjoyable. the shocks alone cost a measly 550 delivered to your door, then you have to cut the strut open to insert the cartridge.

funny you say rollbar. that was the biggest negotiation point. I have the same one in my car. they cost about 550 new and go for 400-450 pre owned (not used). i told him he could have mine, but i didnt want to take mine out and put it in his car..... he said just take the car with the bar, and give my brother the car with the bar in it.

my brother told me he doesnt want the bar in the car. now i have two roll bars.
