I had Circuit City install the Roady XT in my '06 manual. It is wired to a circuit that cuts out as soon as the ignition is turned off, while the stock radio unit remains on until the key is removed from the switch. The issue is this: because the Roady XT cuts out before the head unit, I get static from the head unit until I remove the key (minor annoyance). So I can not leave the key in and listen while I am waiting for someone etc.

My question is this: Can the Roady XT be wired to the same circuit as the head unit so that it will behave in the same manner? :bomb: Any help will be appreciated.

If you use the spare accessory circuit in the under-dash fuse box, the unit will work with the retained power as you want. I have my XM Commander wired to that circuit and it does continue to operate via retained accessory power after the key is turned off.
