I live about three and a half hours from the shop, so it is not like I can just drop my car off and get a ride home. I was wondering is it possible to install a cam and re tune the car in one day or is that an unreasonable amount of time?
This is one of the things that was stressed when I attended Ben Strader's EFI 101 classes. You usually only get one, maybe two, crack(s) at a car per day when everything is ice cold, and sometimes everything that's out of whack can't be dialed in during a single warm up. Blunderbuss cams with a lot of reversion tricking the MAF can be challenging when it's 20 degrees out.We also require a couple days to ensure start-up and all is good. To do it in one day, you really just don't have enough time to focus on the tune like it deserves, in my opinion!
