Congrats and a good choice going with Ed....
Yup, hard to argue with Malcom's results, so following his lead with a cam from Ed is a great choice. Just don't let Malcom talk you into a certain brand of rockers......:)

Wat were ur numbers after the install and tune?
Sorry, Andy beat me too it..I havent been on much do to work..BTW I go out to Easton every now and then just to go to Regal to see some movies

Yeah im definitely not trying to sellyself short on the build, I have nothing but time so Ive been able to contact the best of the best on our forum and some off of it as well. Ive learned A LOT in the last month from talking to several well knowledgeable people on our forum. I'm hoping all this translates into great results. I have full faith that it will!

My cam is 231/235 617/623 113 Lsa Fasterproms custom grind.

With ported/milled030 241 heads made 437whp 424tq.

My heads suck so maybe you would hit 460hp with L92's?

well there are several differences in our set ups, your cam is fairly large for 241's but at least theyre ported and milled. the cam specs of Eds cam are similar to that i'm sure. the heads im going with will be flowing like crazy while maintaining great port velocity so im hoping for strong numbers with the heads and cam but then again my stall will soak up some. numbers arent really a concern to me, this car is my DD so i want it to make good power with drivability also, its not a max effort build.

You have a small bore LS1 so you'll need a set of MAST LS3 heads if you want to use a rectangular port head. I can get you all the data on them if you are looking into this type of combination.

I have a TSP forged Lq9. What else you got?

Keep on track, do all your homework before you pull the trigger brother!

BTW, I'm heading back home from Dallas tomorrow. I'll probably be around when you start wrenching on the beast so lemme know and I'll come on by.

so i figured id update my build thread since ive progressed quite a lot on what i am going to be doing to the car. ive been talking to Ed Curtis at Flowtech about a cam for my goals that would reach/exceed them, for the heads ill be going with the Reher-Morrison(Darin Morgan) CNC program on the LS3 castings. Both Ed and Darin have been kept in the loop about the build and ive talked extensively with both of them about their own product being match to the others and the feedback i have gotten has sold me on these components(Eds cam & Darins heads)

I am beyond excited to get this all put together, i will be purchasing the heads next month, and the cam package after that then the FTI 3200 stall. just wanted to update anyone who was following this....

You have done a great job at doing your homework, and not just throughing parts at your car like so many others have done in the past. I can not wait to see the final product!
What shop are you using for the work and tune?

ill most likely be having Abo at SCSS do the install and ill be going to Cunningham Motorsports for the tune, i cant wait to see it all come together!

BTW Dave, LOVEEEE the Z06 man!! that will be my next car but in cyber gray ;)

I love the cyber cray, but it and crystal red are no longer available due to the tsunami.

ohh wow that interesting, i never knew that....looks like ill be getting on from 08 or 09' ;)

Search 'SPINMONSTER' on corvetteforum. I'll be going with a 230/234 114LSA +2 in my LS3 head setup.

In M6 C6s this cam (with unported LS3 heads) has dyno'd in the 490-500 whp range in multiple cars and is said to have excellent street manners.

ive read up on him quite a bit, in fact CSPs NSSP cam is loosely based off of his grind. but being an auto SPIN recommends something smaller than the 230/234 which i dont want ;)

his cams have had great success on the corvette forums, even LS1tech

Dont compare a real 6.2 LS3 vette to a 6.0L L92 headed GTO for dyno comparisons bro.

vetteforums is hilarious, all the shops comparing their own comp-err uhhh I mean their own "custom cam" like its a pissing contest over dyno numbers. Child-like in many ways.

Neal's setup is going to be IMO, a fantastic A4 setup.

I'll still beat your ass bro, but you're car will still be great lol ;)
