i looked all over town for on, finally i found a great neck(some autozones still carry this brand).................never mind the expensive mac set i had that doesnt go that high

You also need this to remove the gas tank

I need to get one of these too.. I have been using a gator grip which works just "okay". If AutoZone has them for $5 then I need to go pick one up!!

I'm not sure of the size exactly (I think it is a 9/16") 12 point socket will work on those bolts.

I just had to borrow one from a customer at my work, he's a road mechanic for a construction company. I can't find it anywhere except in the snap on truck, and they want a ridiculous amount of money for the whole set!

You do not need to purchase the E18 socket, a 12 point 14mm socket fits it perfectly and works fine.

i purchased mine last year from a place like big lots(close out store) and they were only 50 cents each

I'll go back and if i find any i will sell them to you for what it cost plus shipping

A wiggle extension can give you some room in tight spots.
It has a normal extension end that has been hacked off on a 45* angle I/2 of the way up the square and 1/2 the way down.
Follow the outside lines...

*************|**|
*************|**| <----Neck of Extension
`It looks like this /---\
`************\___/ <---- End of extension

You can see what I mean I hope. It distorts after hitting submit!

Wouldn't hurt to have a wiggle, but make sure you have lots of extensions regardless. The top bellhousing bolts are impossible without a few feet of extensions.

well i picked up 10 of them, if you pm your information i send you a socket, looks like cost will be $2.00

you can send me money or paypal

edit for shipping, total cost $2.00, due to having to send them as 2-day parcel post

Get the tools in advance. The e18 is not easy to find, but I suggest it over the suggested alternatives. You get more contact with the TORX and more points of contact (less likelyhood of stripping).

As for wiggle joint, Tinman gave a perect drawing. You can pick them up most any place selling tools.

Agree you need lots of extensions for the top bolts. Removing the tranny mount buys you more room when the trans tilts down. But the long extensions help.

Good luck
