My buddy drove my Goat a few weeks ago. Well it gave him the hunger for a clean, GM V8 performance car. Well he went out and got a Trans Am. He is getting the info on all the mods right now. Well I could do some research and find the answer but I would rather hear it from the LS community about the cam size difference of the LS1 and LS2. I just "happen" to have a "extra" LS2 cam at my house. Well now will it be worth my buddy to put it in his ride. I hope that it is worth something 5-10hp a nice sound, anything. Please let me know cause I'm going to ship it asap if it is worth anything. If so he wouldn't have to change anything with the new cam besides the thermostat right?

even if it did work, swapping from one stock cam to another would get you minimal gains. save up the cheddars and get a real cam.

On the above note..

The LS1 cam is 196/207 .479/.467 @ 116
The LS2 cam is 204/211 .525/.525 @ 116

to me it doesn't seem worth the effort.

If your going to spend the time to tear down the block for a cam, find something comfortable, but not so big you want to change it to a smaller. you might as well do it once and do it right.

P.S. What happened to that cam on the second to last lobe? that must have been fun
