I just repaired mine last week. I didn't use plasti dip,
I used Kent Automotive Euro Black ( trim & bumper )
it matched the other window trim really well. so far I'm happy with the way it turned out.
worst case I guess I'll be in the market for a set of rear 1/4 window trim.
So the Kent Euro Black fills the porous parts of the trim well?

I did it on my wheels about a year ago as a way to hold off until I bought new wheels and it still is perfect.

Held up through winter and a whole bunch of washes with no marks or anything so I would say go for it.

Worse case scenario you peel it off, not like you wasted a bunch of money

Is it a cheap fix, yes but as a temporary thing or just to give you an idea of how something would look the stuff is perfect.

Note- if you want it to look/feel more like it's actually paint just lay it on thicker and you can actually wet sand it with 2000 grit to make it smooth. Just make sure to do steady pressure and don't overdo it and you'll be fine.
