are the seals on your heads the same type as what came with the dual spring kit?

 

Patriot springs will come with their own seats and then their own seals. Typically, stock GM style seals have the seat built in. If the seats that are installed aren't identical to the ones Patriot provided, rip off the current seals/seats and install the Patriot ones.

Also, Patriot ships ALL Viton seals with their springs, whereas typically only the exhaust seals are Viton. I'm not sure why though.

Good point, I wasn't aware that it was absolutely necessary to get matching seats and seals. Most of the ones that I see are interchangeable.

You have to use the new one's because you have to use their valve seats. Why would you opt to use old parts over new aways? just asking.

From what I gathered, he already has new seats in his new heads. They aren't technically used at this point.
