Weld S77B and CTS-V Big Brake Upgrade

I've searched and searched and I've yet to find the answer to this question. Hopefully someone with more knowledge on this can help with that.

I was wondering if the upgraded CTS-V Brake setup in the front will work with Weld S77B' s. I'm aware that 17" wheels won't work with this brake setup, but will 18" Weld wheels work?

From everything I've gathered, I'd be in the market for:

17 x 7.35 5.4 BS with stock brakes.

How does 18 x 7 5.2 BS sound with the big brakes up front?

I've done this research but unfortunately I didn't save it. I went to Weld's huge PDF catalog and compared the specs of their CTS-V wheel for that application with the specs for the GTO wheel in the same size.

Maybe you can get somebody at weld to measure the inside diameter of the barrel and get someone with stock 18s to do the same. Stock 18s barely clear the calipers and the calpers will take the wheel weights off. Then I guess you need to find out about spokes etc. if there is any clearance issues there.
