I'm assuming you have or are getting a '05-'06 bumper or cutting out an extra hole on the right side of the rear bumper? Or are you looking for the "dual single exit" which is what the '04 has?
That being said..if your keeping your '04 setup (dual single exit), the Borla system for the '04 is only 2.25" not 2.5".

 

I'm going to do the cutouts, with dual exit and dual tips each side.

I agree, those Borla's are nice. And ask WRP about the screwdriver mod he did on his mufflers.

got the borla proXS series mufflers on mine it was the first mod I did to the car, made it all bolt on so its catback style got all the piping custom bent at a muffler shop very clean professional install love the exact not-too-loud, perfect exact V8 sound but in no way quiet either

love mine..It's a little quieter than I like but it has a great sport tune sound to it..

 

nice and sporty, definitely, no drone on highway like flowmaster not to outstanding in terms of sound to mr johnny-law which is a big important factor

 

I have Borla on '04 A4 with the single-rear exit and I really like it. When I first drove it after installation it had a much deeper and more intimidating growl at low rpm's compared to stock. Also the sound of the catback gets better with time. I've had Borla installed since January and it sounds even better now. I'd recommend it. Check the other ones though in the exhaust section to see which you like the best.

 

I'm trying to decide between Borla and Corsa, and I've got a question regarding the two (don't really mean to hijack the thread, but it may be relevant to your decision as well.)

If I get the split exit Borla system for an '04, it installs right in as long as I have my bumper cut, correct? Whereas if I were to get a Corsa system with split exits, I'd have to get 05-06 mid pipes along with it (because I'd be getting an 05-06 catback)?

 

The 04 split borla comes with the hanger as well to mount. If you go with the 05/06 you will have to get new mids and have a welder make you a hanger. It is going to come down to preference for sound. Corsa is quite a bit louder but more muscle while borla is more exotic. I know I have had both.

GET BORLA... DO IT!!

I love the sound of borla over all of them, magnaflow.. to mustang sounding, flowmaster.. too much highway drone.. spintech.. very nice exhaust if loud is your thing, corsa.. ehh, lol and finally borla nice quiet interior during 2000-2500 highway cruising, no drone, nice throaty sound when you get on it, overall a very sporty but not over the top sounding exhaust system... DO IT!! : )

 

or you could just do what gtorrrr did to his rear bumper, take measurements of his single opening and mirror that on the other side using a dremel sounds like a PITA tho thats y I settled for 05 06 look, I like the more aggressive look 2 it
