Very. I believe the baffles in our air ducts are vacuum actuated, and with that thing they need electric motors. People have talked about it before if you search.

 

And i'm pretty sure the angle of the dangle of the RHD center stack isn't the same, so the whole shebang won't fit either.

 

This has been discussed in the past, it physically won't go in the LHD console, plus as mentioned it's not compatible with our vacuum-operated HVAC system. And, even if you went to the trouble of replacing the entire HVAC box and other necessary parts, you'd end up with a system that was never designed to work in a climate that gets cold temps and is also only calibrated in Celcius.

 

I've heard this one issue of cold temperature operation mentioned several times in the past but nothing about the source of this info. What kind of cold temperatures are we talking about because the UK got the ECC too?

I wonder if the control panel has a wire you ground or float and it will display in F.

I am surprised the range won't go low enough. That seems odd.

 

What cars trunk did you scratch up by putting those dash pieces on it?

 

God I love those things..... I would have been totally willing to pay an additional $500 for that climate control option.....

I asked a tech expert over here and he says it is impossible to retrofit the digital AC controls on a coupe due to the electronics and the internal conversion involved. Even if you had all the parts

But seriously I've been looking for a red center console and if you are interested to sell the console trim please drop me a line.

 

does anyone know if the trim peices are direct swaps for us or is there and angle issue

 

no its not a direct swap, if you want to swap you would need the interior from a Chevy lumina ss in saudi arabia or isrialwhere ever they sell the chevy version since its a LHD car and Not Rhd

 

If you already have the pieces needed, go for it. Worst case scenario is it doesn't fit and you loose a weekend of your time. I don't think anyone has actually tried to make this work, its purely speculation.
