Yesterday I finished tuning on a customers 05 C6 with a 6 speed.

Mods include:

HPE Mega Death Cam (244/242 on a 112, .612/.610 lift)
American Racing 1 7/8 headers
Corsa Sport exhaust
Xcelerator Cold Air intake
ASP Underdrive pulley
NGK TR6 Plugs
160* thermostat
Ported Throttle Body

Car put down...

446 rwhp @ 6500 rpm

403 rwtq @ 5200 rpm

I forgot to scan the dyno graph, but I will later. It was very interesting to compare it to the stock curve. People say big cams lose power down low. Well this cam is stronger everywhere, and it's huge!

I think the reason people think their cars feel sluggish down low (with big cams), is because they're so fast up top...

I see no reason why not to get a big cam these days for street driving. They are responsive throughout the entire RPM range, and pull like a you know what when you get past 3500-4000 rpm.

Needless to say the customer is quite pleased with his results on this application. I was really hoping to hit the 450 rwhp mark with a stock intake and heads, but the car ran really good with the 446 tune.

Here's a video of his car idling for those interested. I will make a better video later with hopefully the dyno graph included.

Nice chuck. I'm gonna have to agree with the "pulls like a you know what around 3500" lol

Don't get that car with in a 100 miles of a state with emission regulations, hell they would confiscate it and keep it here in California. Our Hwy patrol just got a big budget just to go after cars with non emission's equipment on it.

that sounds sweet!!!

"It was very interesting to compare it to the stock curve. People say big cams lose power down low. Well this cam is stronger everywhere, and it's huge!"

then it would be fine for a stock stall a4?

What causes the car to stall anyways, the constant surging?

I wanted to get the megadeath but so many ppl tell me it will constantly stall at lights and in traffic..That is the only thing that is making me not buy it..:(

Sounds like you're victim to having a bunch of friends that have never got a professional tune done.

Come to houston and find one HPE cammed GTO that stalls at a light, with Mega Death cam and all...

You will find none...

Those videos always crack me up.

"First, I'm gonna put the camera on the ground and start the car. Ok now I go pick up the camera and zoom in on the exhaust pipes. Great! Now I will do the classic sweeping camera shot to finish it off! Beautiful!"

Awesome cam and I wish I had a toy I could put something like that in!

Even on a stock stall A4? No surging or driveability issues at low RPM?

Better add a 4400 stall and 3.91 for this cam to work...
Way to big for most guys...

Sounds just like the Hellion and makes the same power too. ;) Check sig for verification.

Post the dyno sheet. Lets see where it really kicks in. Big cams are GREAT....
but can be smoked down low by a much smaller one. We have seen it before.
So lets see the sheet, lets see what it does down low.
Please Please Please Uncle Chuck

damn i havnt had my car tuned and my cam specs are really close to the mega death and i stalled the first day i drove it because the car was still learning its self but now it finds idle and only surges below 1500
specs are

242/242 .610 .610

the cam really isnt bad at all for daily driving

Ya the 95 percent was def an exaggeration, lol

I just read "TONS" of different topics from alot of people that actually have big cams..Some ppl say there fine in traffic, and others say regardless of the tune they are a bitch to drive in traffic..

Since chuck is supposely the man when it comes to cams,i wanted to get more insight then anything else..Instead of a prove me wrong debate

Big cams are difficult in traffic I don't care who makes them. They are made for big rpm's. That's where they shine.

If by difficult you mean breathing in the raw fuel smell from a huge lopin cam with catless lt's then I'd agree. But some of us like that lol

So I did a brief search on this cam and could not find a decent dyno graph that showed HP & TQ.

If someone can provide one that shows HP/TQ BELOW 3000rpm as well, that would be super duper. It's easy to say this cam gained power if you're talking 4K and up ;)
