Yesterday I finished tuning on a customers 05 C6 with a 6 speed.
Mods include:
HPE Mega Death Cam (244/242 on a 112, .612/.610 lift)
American Racing 1 7/8 headers
Corsa Sport exhaust
Xcelerator Cold Air intake
ASP Underdrive pulley
NGK TR6 Plugs
160* thermostat
Ported Throttle Body
Car put down...
446 rwhp @ 6500 rpm
403 rwtq @ 5200 rpm
I forgot to scan the dyno graph, but I will later. It was very interesting to compare it to the stock curve. People say big cams lose power down low. Well this cam is stronger everywhere, and it's huge!
I think the reason people think their cars feel sluggish down low (with big cams), is because they're so fast up top...
I see no reason why not to get a big cam these days for street driving. They are responsive throughout the entire RPM range, and pull like a you know what when you get past 3500-4000 rpm.
Needless to say the customer is quite pleased with his results on this application. I was really hoping to hit the 450 rwhp mark with a stock intake and heads, but the car ran really good with the 446 tune.
Here's a video of his car idling for those interested. I will make a better video later with hopefully the dyno graph included.
