So I have heard rumors that Billet Products is out of business. Does anyone know for sure or not. I sent them an email quite awhile back and no response? I was really wanting to get one of their shifters. And I know that JHP dropped them just wasn't sure why.

As Fox said that is what I have read too..I found mine on the forums here and immediately jumped on it..The next best thing to it is probably the GMM with a LSS on it..A lot of people use it and love it

That shifter was already... what... $500? It'll be interesting to see what used ones go for now

What's there to support? I have a Billet. Had it for 100,000 miles now. Nothing has gone wrong, and if something did go wrong, it would only be bolt replacement. The rest of the shifter assembly is so beefy, if you broke it, you were using a sledgehammer to shift gears.

They are like apples and oranges. The Billet was a remote linkage design like the OEM, the GMM is a direct setup with no linkage. Nothing to adjust on a GMM other than selecting the race or street version.

IIRC there was also an update for the Billet to address the rattling that some were experiencing. Since it's a linkage shifter it does have joints with moving parts that will eventually wear and need attention, so as stated above there is no longer a direct source for the factory updates or wear parts.

That would be awesome are they saying just the handle or the whole assembly line too?..I love mine and dont think I would change it out unless I had too

Also I see the OP found a few people in the WTB Section of the forums that may sell one to him..Good News for you..You'll love it

The billet is bullet proof!
I order mine right before the pause in production, paid about 600 with customs fees and insurance(don't get the insurance). To date, the billet is still quieter then my stock shifter was at 15k. It's a shame to cover it up with the boot.

The old style handle did have the 3 different settings, I kinda want an old style handle too just to try it out. I have the revised handle. only thing that happened to my revised handle is the handle that sits in the urethane insert came loose and you could spin it around and around. Billet replaced it no problem after I sent them pictures. I just hope it doesn't happen again. Maybe they made the part that secures it a lot better.

Does the new urethane handle have a setting as high as the old style?

I have mine set at the highest position.

The new handle made it so you don't get to set the handle as low as you use to because the urethane insert took up space for the other holes. The highest point should still be the same though.

I bought my original shifter from JHP and was told they would send me a new handle. I never received it. I just PM'd the sponsor and asked if they could send me one. Waiting to hear back.
